Central Library (Southend)
The Central Library in Southend is centrally placed in Victoria Avenue, close to the Civic Centre.
It is a modern building, built in the 1960s, and replaced the handsome Edwardian building next door, which is now used as the Central Museum.
There is an extensive Local History section.
The building also has a lecture theatre and cafe.
