St. Mary`s Church (Shenfield)

St. Mary`s Church is the parish church of the old village of Shenfield in Essex.

A mediaeval church, it has a remarkable six bay North arcade made of oak, with slim piers and arches.

Also timber is the tower and the bell turret.

The shingled spire is unusually tall and slim.

There is an alabaster monument to Elizabeth Robinson, who died in 1652.
