Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum (Salisbury)
Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum is an outstanding local museum in Salisbury.
It is situated in the King`s House, in the Close.
There is an eclectic collection of historical curiosities, and a gallery which sets out to explain Stonehenge and the area`s other prehistoric monuments.
The museum also holds the lesser known Pitt Rivers Museum. His famous museum in Oxford holds his ethnographic collections, but here in Salisbury are the fruits of his archaeological work.
