Market Place (Romford)
The Market Place is probably the best known feature of Romford, now in Greater London but historically in Essex.
Romford has had a busy market for centuries.
It is essntially a widening of the road, which is the old Great Road, the Roman road running from London to Colchester.
There are shops along the South side, while on the North side is St. Edward the Confessor Church together with the 15th century Church House.
