Eastbrookend Country Park (Romford)
Eastbrookend Country Park is a country park at Romford.
The main entrance is in Dagenham Road.
Covering 198 acres, the park was created from an area of gravel pits, which were used to dump rubble from the bombing of London in the Second World War.
A decision was taken in the 1970s to reclaim the land, and it has been transformed into a green and pleasant landscape of trees, lakes and grassland, as it had been before the encroachment of the city.
The Millennium Centre is an environmentally friendly Visitor Centre.
