St. Andrew`s Church (Plymouth)
St. Andrew`s is the parish church of the maritime city of Plymouth in Devon.
The mediaeval building was destroyed by enemy bombs in 1941 during the Second World War, and only the walls, pillars and tower remained standing.
The architect Frederick Etchells rebuilt the church and it was reconsecrated in 1957.
There are six stained glass windows designed by John Piper.
A figure made of Purbeck marble in St. Philip`s Chapel dates from around 1200.
