Prysten House (Plymouth)
Prysten House is a historic building in the Devon city of Plymouth.
It is situated in Catherine Street, close to St. Andrew`s Church and the Guildhall.
The building dates back to about 1500 and is the oldest dwelling house in the city. It was originally a merchant`s house, but was later used as a chapel for priests from Plympton Priory.
It houses a tapestry display and a model of Plymouth in 1620, while outside is a tree as a symbol of everlasting friendship with Plymouth in New England.
