Oxford University Museum of Natural History (Oxford)

The Oxford University Museum of Natural History is an excellent example of this kind of museum, equalled only by the Natural History Museum in London.

It is situated in Parks Road.

Constructed of iron and glass, the building was designed in the mid 19th century by Deane and Woodward of Dublin, and opened in 1860.

The museum is a treasure trove of natural building materials, and of specimens of wildlife from the present and the past.
