Lincoln College (Oxford)

Lincoln College is one of the colleges that make up the world famous Oxford University.

It is situated in Turl Street.

The college, named after the diocese in which Oxford was then a part, was founded in 1427 by Roger Fleming, to counter the reforming influence of John Wycliffe and the Lollards.

Ironically, one of its later students was the equally reforming John Wesley.

Most of the college is still 15th century. Outside the hall is a copy of the Lincoln Imp.
