Hinksey Park (Oxford)
Hinksey Park is an urban water park at Oxford.
The main entrance is in Old Abingdon Road.
The park was laid out in the 1930s. The site had previously been the Oxford Waterworks, which were in operation from 1854 to 1933. An open air swimming pool and boating lake were created from the old filter beds.
Within the park is Hinksey Lake, an important habitat for wildlife.
