Exeter College (Oxford)
Exeter College is one of the colleges that make up the world famous Oxford University.
It is situated in Turl Street.
Exeter College was founded in 1314 by Walter de Stapledon, Bishop of Exeter, for students from Devon and Cornwall.
The college was largely rebuilt in the 17th century, but the Palmer`s Tower survives of the mediaeval buildings.
The chapel is by Gilbert Scott, and contains a tapestry by William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones.
