Albert Park (Middlesbrough)

Albert Park is an urban park at Middlesbrough.

The main entrance is in Park Road.

The park was donated to the people of Middlesborough in 1866 by Henry Bolckow MP, who was the town`s first Mayor. It was opened in 1868 by Prince Arthur, the youngest son of Queen Victoria, and named Albert Park in honour of her late husband.

It was the home of Middlesbrough Football Club until its move to Ayresome Park.
