St. Peters Church (Marlborough)

St. Peter's is a former church, in the old Wiltshire town of Marlborough.

It stands, surrounded by trees, at the bottom of the notably wide High Street, close to Marlborough College. It was built in the 15th century.

It was at this church that Cardinal Wolsey, who was born at Ipswich and died at Leicester, was ordained as a priest.

St. Peter's was declared redundant in 1974, and is now used as a thriving arts centre, with craft shops and a teashop.
