Merchant`s House (Marlborough)
The Merchant`s House is a historic building in the fine old Wiltshire town of Marlborough.
It is situated in the famously wide High Street.
The house is said to be one of the finest middle class houses in England, and is made of brick with three distinctive gables facing the street.
The Panelled Chamber was completed in 1656, and the Dining Room and Great Staircase have 17th century wall paintings.
There is a 17th century formal garden.
