Heritage Centre (Mallaig)
The Heritage Centre is a popular attraction at the old fishing port of Mallaig in Scotland.
It is situated in Station Road.
The centre tells the story of the fishing industry at Mallaig and the Scottish West coast and islands. Today, Mallaig specialises in shellfish.
There are displays relating to the mediaeval Highland galleys, which were very similar to the better known Viking long ships.
Also featured are the Highland steamers, with their complicated network of voyages around the islands.
