Feathers (Ludlow)

The Feathers is a very famous and very attractive building in the lovely old Shropshire town of Ludlow.

It is one of the many black and white half timbered buildings in the centre of the town, and stands on the edge of the Bull Ring.

The Feathers is double jettied, with three gables facing the main street, and a balcony at first floor level. It has appeared on countless postcards, calendars and jigsaw puzzles.

It was built as an inn in 1619, on the site of an earlier building.

The Feathers now operates as a hotel, and rooms are much sought after.
