All Saints Church, Thorpe Acre (Loughborough)
All Saints is the church serving the Loughborough estate of Thorpe Acre.
Thorpe Acre was a small settlement in the Anglo-Saxon period, and from the early 19th century was an estate village for workers on the Garendon estate.
All Saints is situated in Thorpe Acre Road, near the junction with Knightthorpe Road and beside what is effectively a village green.
It was built by William Railton in 1845, and replaced the mediaeval church at nearby Dishley.
The nave and chancel are designed together, and there is a bellcote.
The East window is by Kempe, and dates from 1892.
