Brixton Academy (London)
Brixton Academy is an interesting building in London.
It is situated in Stockwell Road, in Lambeth.
The Academy was built in 1929, and was the largest of the four Astoria Theatres.
It retains many of its original features, including an elaborate proscenium arch (dividing the seating from the stage), and splendid art deco interior.
At present, it is used as a music venue.
