Merseyside Maritime Museum (Liverpool)
The Merseyside Maritime Museum is an outstanding museum in the great maritime city of Liverpool.
It is situated in Albert Dock, in one of the huge warehouses.
There are many models of ships, covering merchant shipping from the 19th century and the early 20th.
In addition, there are displays on the emigrant ships which mostly took people to America, on Customs and Excise and on smuggling.
The displays on the slave trade have been turned into a museum in their own right.
