Heroes of the Engine Room Memorial (Liverpool)

The Heroes of the Engine Room Memorial is one of the many fascinating structures in the great maritime city of Liverpool.

It was built in 1916, originally as a memorial to the engineers who atayed at their posts when the Titanic sank in 1912.

The dedication was broadened, to include all maritime engine room deaths occurring while on duty.
