High Bridge (Lincoln)
The High Bridge is one of many historic structures in the magnificent cathedral city of Lincoln.
It carries the High Street over the River Witham.
The bridge has been a feature of Lincoln since Norman times, and retains its original vaulting on the underside.
Uniquely among mediaeval bridges in England, it carries a row of shops, which are housed in a timber framed building which dates back to the 16th century.
