St. Chad`s Church (Lichfield)
St. Chad`s Church is a mediaeval church in the ancient cathedral city of Lichfield.
It stands on the outskirts of the city, at the end of Stowe Pool, on what is believed to be the site of the monastery founded by St. Chad in 669, when he chose Lichfield as the centre of his bishopric.
The present church dates back to the 12th century.
In the churchyard is St. Chad`s Well, where Chad baptised converts.
