Lichfield Heritage Centre (Lichfield)
Lichfield Heritage Centre is the museum containing displays on many aspects of the history of the delightful Staffordshire cathedral city of Lichfield.
It is housed in the former St. Mary's Church in the Market Place, close to Dr. Johnsons Birthplace. Dr. Johnson was himself baptised in this church.
A purpose built gallery contains the Staffordshire Millennium Embroideries, and there are audio visual presentations on Lichfield's role in the Civil War and the history of the city in general.
The popular Heritage Centre is open to the public, and contains a coffee shop.
