Cottage Museum (Lancaster)
The Cottage Museum is a small museum in Lancaster.
It is situated on Castle Hill.
The museum is one of two cottages which were once a single house with the date 1739 over the door. The other is now a private dwelling.
Downstairs there is a parlour, behind which is a scullery and wash house. The family lived and ate in the parlour, which was also used for spinning. Upstairs there are two tiny bedrooms.
Below the wash house is a cellar.
