Kew Palace (Kew)
Kew Palace is a historic site at Kew in Greater London, formerly Surrey.
This charming Jacobean palace was built as a private house, known as the Dutch House, and was used as a Royal residence and country retreat between 1728 and 1818, most notably by George III and his family.
The neighbouring Queen Charlotte`s Cottage, built in 1770, is where his widow died in 1818.
It is now in the care of Historic Royal Palaces.
