Kendal Station (Kendal)

Kendal Station serves the historic old town of Kendal in the Lake District.

The station is situated a few minutes walk from the town centre, on the other side of the River Kent.

It was built of the local grey stone in 1847.

Kendal is on a single track branch line which runs steeply down from Oxenholme, from where the town can be seen, and then continues dropping to Windermere.
