St. Francis Xavier Church (Hereford)
The church of St. Francis Xavier is the main Catholic church in the ancient cathedral city of Hereford.
It stands in Broad Street, opposite the City Art Gallery, Museum and Library, and around the corner from Hereford Cathedral.
It is a striking building, whose frontage is painted in a pastel ochre colour. The frontage is classical, but owes a lot to the Eastern Orthodox tradition.
St. Francis Xavier was one of the first Catholic churches to be built in England after the Reformation.
