Bronte Parsonage (Haworth)
The Bronte Parsonage is a historic house at Haworth.
It was the home of Rev Patrick Bronte, who arrived in Haworth in 1820, accompanied by his wife and his six children. He outlived them all.
Among his children were the novelists Charlotte Bronte, Emily and Anne Bronte.
The house is very appropriately set, between the church (with its extensive and gloomy graveyard) and the open moors.
It has been restored to the 1850s, the period when the great writing took place.
