HMS Trincomalee (Hartlepool)
HMS Trincomalee is a popular attraction at Hartlepool in Cleveland.
She has the distinction of being the oldest British fighting ship still afloat, having been built as a frigate in Bombay in 1817. Later, she served in the Pacific and in the Arctic Circle
From 1898 she served as a training ship, having been renamed "Foudroyant".
Today, however, she has been fully restored, and under her original name is a credit to the maritime town of Hartlepool.
