Hartlepool Station is the railway station serving Hartlepool.
It is situated close to the town centre, which was until recently known as West Hartlepool.
Trains for Hartlepool come from Darlington, by way of Stockton-on-Tees and Billingham.They continue to Seaham, Sunderland and Newcastle-on-Tyne.
There was formerly a branch line running to the old town of Hartlepool on The Headland.
