St. James` Church (Greenstead Green)

St. James` Church is the parish church of the hamlet of Greenstead Green, near Halstead in Essex.

The church was built in 1845 by George Gilbert Scott, and is one of a number which he designed in this part of the county.

Built in the Decorated style, St. James` has a West tower which is octagonal at the top. It has four pinnacles and a spire.

The church was the gift of Mrs Gee of Earls Colne.
