Elizabethan House Museum (Great Yarmouth)

The Elizabethan House Museum is one of a number of museums in the historic old town, now a seaside resort, of Great Yarmouth in Norfolk.

It is situated on South Quay, by the River Yare.

The house was grandly built for a 16th century merchant, and gives a good idea of the wealth that was generated at that time by Great Yarmouth as a trading port.

A stained glass window from 1612 shows large Dutch fishing vessels at work in the North Sea.
