Royal Navy Submarine Museum (Gosport)

The Royal Navy Submarine Muesum is a fascinating attraction at Gosport in Hampshire.

It is situated at Haslar Jetty Road, beside Portsmouth Harbour.

The museum is dominated by the A class submarine "Alliance", built in 1945 and at the time one of the largest submarines in the Royal Navy. Visitors can see how cramped the conditions are.

The museum itself includes models of the most unlikely looking prototypes.

Another submarine in the collection is the Navy`s very first, "Holland I", salvaged in 1982 after spending seventy years on the seabed.
