Red House (Godalming)
The Red House is an outstanding but eccentric building in Godalming.
It is situated in Frith Hill Road.
The house was designed by Edwin Lutyens, and is perched precariously on the edge of a cliff.
It was built for W. H. Evans, a master at nearby Charterhouse School, in 1897.
The gardens are the remains of those created originally by Gertrude Jekyll.
