Bellahouston Park (Glasgow)

Bellahouston Park is a historic park in Glasgow.

The main entrance is in Dumbreck Road.

The park covers 175 acres, with formal gardens (walled garden, sunken garden, horseshoe garden) and open parkland, with fine views over the city and beyond.

The House for an Art Lover was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

The Papal Retaining Wall was built for the visit of Pope John Paul II, who held a mass for 300,000 pilgrims here in 1982. This was the largest ever public gathering in Scotland.
