St. Peter`s Church (Empingham)

St. Peter`s is the parish church of the Rutland village of Empingham.

It has a tall 13th century West tower, together with a West front of the same period.

On top of the tower is a relatively short crocketed spire with lucarnes.

There are beautiful sedilia and piscina in the chancel, while the pulpit dates from the late 17th century.

There is also some mediaeval wall painting.
