The Gallery (Ely)
The Gallery is the unusual name for a stretch of road and pavement in the lovely little cathedral city of Ely.
It runs from beside the West Front of Ely Cathedral to the gateway known as the Ely Porta.
The Gallery owes its unusual name to the covered walkway that used to run between the Cathedral and the old Bishop's Palace opposite. The Palace is now a Sue Ryder home.
On the side of the road is now a set down and pick up point for coaches.
