Lamb Hotel (Ely)
The Lamb Hotel has been the major hotel in the centre of the historic cathedral city of Ely for centuries.
It stands right in the centre of the city, on the corner of the High Street.
Bearing a name referring to Jesus himself ("lamb of God"), it might well have been called the Lamb and Flag at one time.
Alhough it appears at first sight to be an 18th century building, it in fact dates back to the 14th century, and was used by pilgrims visiting Ely to see the relics of St. Etheldreda.
