St. Andrew`s Church (Earls Colne)

St. Andrew`s Church is the parish church of the little town of Earls Colne in Essex.

A large church on the corner of the street, it features a big West tower. The battlements have flushwork decoration in the arms of the powerful De Vere family, Earls of Oxford, and dated 1534.

The stair turret has a brick top, and supports an open ironmork corona for the weathervane, dating from the 18th century.

There was a minster on the site in 1040.
