Darlington North Road Station (Darlington)

Darlington North Road Station is one of the railway stations serving Darlington. The other is Darlington Station.

North Road is one of the most historic stations in the world, being the terminus of the Stockton to Darlington Railway, the world`s first, which opened in 1825.

The present station was built in 1842, and now houses a railway museum.

Trains run from Darlington via North Road to Bishop Auckland.

A cross country service formerly ran to Barnard Castle, Kirkby Stephen, Appleby and Penrith.
