Cromford Mill (Cromford)

Cromford Mill is a historic building at Cromford in Derbyshire.

It is situated just of the main A6 road.

Cromford Mill was Richard Arkwright`s first successful water powered spinning mill, and moreover was the first in the world. It was opened in 1771, with additions up to 1791.

It is now part of the Derwent Valley World Heritage Site.

There is an exhibition on site, as well as a restaurant and several shops.
