Cressing Temple (Cressing)

Cressing Temple is an outstanding visitor attraction at the Essex village of Cressing.

It is situated off Witham Road.

The centre piece is the two enormous and magnificent barns, the Wheat Barn and the Barley Barn, built by the Knights Templar in the 13th century.

There is also a Tudor farmhouse and assocated farm buildings.

A Tudor walled garden has been recreated, with a fine collection of herbs growing.

The site is now part of a Country Park, which has one each of the nine native English trees.

There is a fine gift shop and tea shop.
