Colchester Zoo is one of the most popular and successful zoos in England, and is situated on the outskirts of the historic old town of Colchester in Essex.
There are over thirty public displays and feeds every day.
A state of the art enclosure, Orangutan Forest, has an indoor climbing area for thes fascinating apes.
Other features include Playa Patagonia, with sealions swimming overhead, and Kingdom of the Wild, featuring African animals roaming together.
The grounds include the ruins of an old church, and peacocks roam on the lawns.
