Ongar Station (Chipping Ongar)

Ongar Station is in the Essex village of Chipping Ongar, on the edge of Epping Forest.

It was originally a section of the Great Eastern Railway, opening in 1865. Then in 1957 it became part of the London Underground system, being a detached part of the Central Line running from Epping to Ongar.

The line closed in the 1990s, but is now reopened as a heritage railway.
