Prior`s Tower (Carlisle)
The Prior`s Tower is a historic building in Carlisle.
It is a three storey pele tower, constructed about 1500, and is Grade 1 listed.
The tower, part of the abbey complex, was used as the Prior`s lodgings, and was part of the Deanery until recently.
The ceiling, dating from around 1510, has 45 hand painted panels, and is associated with Prior Senhouse.
