Queens` College (Cambridge)
Queens' College is one of the many colleges which collectively make up the world famous Cambridge University.
It is situated in Queens' Lane, beside the River Cam.
The apostrophe is correct, as the college was founded by two Queens. One was Margaret, the wife of Henry VI, who founded it to "laud and honour the feminine sex", after her husband had founded King`s College. Elizabeth, wife of Edward IV, continued what her predecessor had started.
Architects and designers involved in 19th century decoration included G. F. Bodley, William Morris and Ford Madox Brown.
