Abbey Gardens (Bury St. Edmunds)
The Abbey Gardens are beautiful gardens in the ancient town of Bury St. Edmunds.
The gardens contain the extensive ruins of the famous Abbey, where St. Edmund, martyr King of East Anglia, was buried, and also where the barons decided to force King John to sign Magna Carta.
There is a Visitor Centre in the gardens.
As well as the lawns and lovely flower displays, there is also a popular aviary.
One of the main entrances to the gardens is through the magnificent Abbey Gate.
