Royal Corinthian Yacht Club (Burnham-on-Crouch)
The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club is an outstanding Modernist building at Burnham-on-Crouch, the first in this style to be built beside the sea.
It was designed by Joseph Emberton and built in 1931, replacing the club`s previous premises, a small clubhouse in the Essex weatherboarding style.
This striking building, with its clean lines and long hoizontal windows, has a steel frame and stands on a concrete platform supported by stilts in the water.
