Christmas Steps (Bristol)
Christmas Steps are a well known feature of the historic city of Bristol.
Leading down from Colston Street, the narrow alley with its steps has been seen on the screen many times.
The steep alley was given steps at his own expense in 1669 by the wealthy wine merchant Jonathan Blackwell. He also provided seats.
