British Empire and Commonwealth Museum (Bristol)
The British Empire and Commonwealth Museum is an outstanding museum in the city of Bristol.
It is situated in Clock Tower Yard, at Bristol Temple Meads Station, the world`s oldest surviving railway terminus, designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and completed in 1840.
The building that houses the museum is over 220 feet long, with 72 foot timber and iron roof spans, and contains the passenger shed and former engine and carriage shed.
